vDream Racing is proud to announce the release of the latest car: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9! A true competitor to the Subaru Impreza WRX STi, the Evo has a huge following, and I’m sure many people (including me) are excited to see it on vDream!

Weekly awards: every week you can win awards for Most Active, Most Losses, and Car of the Week, and win a clean 5000 vDollars for winning! Here are this week’s winners:

Most Active: Bryan Camble, with 460 activity points. Keep up the good work Bryan!

Most Losses: Fiona Wignall, with 245 losses. Keep the faith Fiona, you’re representing the vLadies by succeeding in vDream!

Car of the Week: Nick Froehlich, with a very tasteful (and very neon) Lamborghini Murcielago. Lookin’ great, Nick!

Now on to the administrative matters. We have noticed a lot of minion accounts on vDream recently. Minion accounts are accounts that are created for the sole purpose of losing against your main account. If I create an account, and use it to challenge my main account every day, this is considered cheating. If you are doing this, don’t be surprised if you are no longer on the leaderboard. The vDream Police Force has been notified, and they are working around the clock to keep a watchful eye on everyone. If you have been stricken from the leaderboard, you can either keep cheating and remain off of the leaderboard, or you can have your account reset to zero, and start over. Please use common sense, people! Cheating is never good, especially when you’re going up against people who play the game fairly. Let this be the warning to those with minion accounts – stop using them immediately!

Slightly off topic… but i wanted to ask the VDreamers who purchased the Dodge Ram SRT-10 what they thought about it. I love the truck, but wanted to see what people had to say about the performance/available mods before I filled up a parking spot. Anyone willing to give advice, just comment the Evo post (this one). Much appreciated for those of you who do.

hey justin, i have the ram and it is very cool and all but unfortunately not very usefull in the way of winning many races :( it has around 900HP but weighs around 5000lbs. it runs high 11’s i think on the 1/4 and over a minute on the track. prob better off buying it as a show off car rather than relying on it for income :/

Just a suggestion regarding paint, I think looking into a custom paint/decal shop might add something to the mix. Maybe even go as far as finding prices for different custom paints/color schemes and adding that to the aftermarket modification feature of the game? I would bet a lot of people would definitely enjoy having this ability. And btw, thanks a lot, Luke. I think I’ll hold off on the Ram until I save up some more money, but that Ram sure is tempting.

The rams aftermarket sux at the moment, there are still many parts to be added, no body panels for instance, no wheels, mainly just engine mods, which as previously stated does put it to over 900hp but still its a boat weighing in at over 5k lbs….its a cool car to have in the garage, but be warned, unless ur challenging mini coopers and cars similar to that, you wont win many races…I personally have one and I like it, i just dont use it that often, lol

I know it’s not gonna happen, but I sure wish the Fox Mustang can be added to vDream! There a helluva lot you can do to that car in every aspect! You want body kits, there’s plenty! You want aftermarket engine parts, there’s LOTS of aftermarket parts, kits, superchargers, turbos etc. You want suspension for the twisties, they’ve got that to!

@Clint – It’s all about the car you are driving. I’m going to guess and say that you have an elise or another low end car that dominates the hp section. Just put yourself in their shoes… You aren’t going to challenge a car that you will lose to.

Either that, or majority of his challenges (which came up as random) were sent to people with really low VDI and who don’t play the game everyday, or as often, like the majority of the people with higher VDI’s do. If that’s the case, send your challenges to those in the top 50 spots on the leaderboard. You’ll have a lot greater chance of people accepting your challenge and sending you one back :) Also, if you don’t have very many friends on your list, you should post up your FB/Myspace link on the Underground or Pitstop forums! And while you’re there, add whoever’s profile to your buddy list that you don’t already have :) Good luck Clint!

I respect what American muscle is and 90% of my friends and co-workers are Chevy, Ford, Dodge guys and we all get on each other just joking (me being the Acura guy) but we all have respect for each other .Im not sure why the Domestic people find it so hard to show any respect towards import owners. Maybe one day cars will be cars and people can take their heads out of their asses and show some class.

Just for the record I also own an f-150 and a monte carlo so im not this “ricer” people may make me out to be from this post I guess I’m just the devil’s advocate on this one and I’m fine with that.

Unfortunately most people dont know the difference between ricer and import….those that know that difference dont usually poke fun at just any import….and I can tell you the movie “The Fast and the Furious” has alot to do with why there are so many ricers now a days and why people percieve imports the way they do and just lump all imports into the ricer category….conversely, many people percieve people that drive and love domestic cars as hicks, for every type of car there is a stereotype, just like there are stereotypes for different races and cultures, unfortuantely its a sad part of life, but a part of life none the less, now if you are a good ambasador for imports, maybe you could show people that there is a difference between import and ricer, i personally have a german car and live in texas, ive had a muscle car, ive had a truck, an suv, a luxury sedan and now my sports car, and honestly, ive loved every vehicle ive driven. I really loved the sound and power of my v8 but i love my turbo 4cyl too, both have potential….some people are set in their ways and will never change their opinions on things, i know its shitty trying to change peoples perceptions, but remember, perception is reality for people, the best advice i can give is just let it go, i know its easier said than done, but there isnt much else you can do about it. Besides, if you love your car, then thats what matters, so be happy with what you have, and hell if you have the chance to show someone up with your car then by all means do it, lol, thats always fun….

The only reason I made that point was because someone on my myspace buddy list sent me a pm asking about the garage spots because he was fnally ready to buy a spot AND another car and didn’t want to trade in the one he had. I basically told them that the spots were sold out and they were gonna have to wait until another one is made.

The only thing I see that sucks about having to wait is, what about those people who just finally made enough money to buy a garage spot, and when they clicked on the garage link, they discovered they were all sold out. Now the new spot is out, but for whatever reasons, they can’t donate the money to get one. How much longer will they have to wait until they’re able to buy a spot with vMoney? I’m just asking, that way I can help give better answers to whoever needs them :)

I wasn’t offended by it at all, I just don’t like beiong associated with “ricers”.

All imports are not “ricers”. To me, a ricer is someone who puts a fake hood scoop with double sided tape on a black spray painted hood or bolts on a triple-stack aluminum wing with led’s or has a horendous body kit thats still primered from when they bought it.

Its just unfair to lump imports into a group that domestic cars are in as well. There are plenty of domestics with the things I listed above. I wasn’t trying to sound like I ws offended, just stating my case as I do on pretty much a daily basis.
